1/2 Chilean, 1/2 Peruvian - Legacy Gold remains the prototype Herdsire in our eyes. Even better is the fact that he is capable of replicating himself with relative ease. He has won major awards at every level and at every stage of his development including back to back Breed and Color Championships at the 1999 & 2000 Futurities in Oklahoma City, the only alpaca to have ever done that. His cria have likewise excelled on the show circuit winning throughout the color spectrum. Unlike most other Herdsires at Cas-Cad-Nac, Legacy Gold will be bred outside a maximum of 10 times (most of our guys we breed out only 5 times/year and then strictly to existing clients) in 2006: 6 of those breeding will be offered to existing clients of CCNF and/or Tripping Gnome Farm at a rate of $7,500/service, the remaining 4 will be offered to the alpaca community at large at a rate of $10,000/service. As of March 27, 2006 we already commitments for 6 of LGs outside breedings including three of the four available to the public at large.
